The European Convention Committee works on the issue of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of the Profession of Lawyer. The recommendation adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in January 2018, requested the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers to draft and adopt such a Convention. The Committee works in close cooperation with the Council of Europe.
