This committee focuses on issues related to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). It works on building and maintaining relations with the ECtHR, including responding to relevant consultations. Additionally, the Committee liaises with other Council of Europe stakeholders involved with the ECtHR, such as Government Agents to the ECtHR, the Committee of Ministers, the Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH), and the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the ECtHR. It also contributes to improving the efficiency of the ECtHR and developed and regularly updates a practical guide for lawyers in cooperation with the ECtHR.
