This committee mainly deals with issues related to the protection of the profession of lawyers worldwide in order to preserve the independence and integrity of the administration of justice and the rule of law. In this context, it deals with, among other things, the selection procedure for the CCBE Human Rights Award and the organisation of the CCBE Amicus Curiae Contest. It also collaborates with several national, regional and international organisations in support of endangered lawyers.
