On 12 February 2026, the CCBE held its Standing Committee meeting in Vienna, bringing together member delegations and Bar Leaders to discuss key issues affecting #lawyers across Europe, and the CCBE priorities for 2026.
The CCBE was honoured to welcome Dirk Staudenmayer, Head of Unit A1 (Digital Transition and Judicial Training) at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Justice. His presentation of the European Justice Programme for 2028–2034 and the Judicial Training Strategy for 2025–2030 provided important elements for the discussion.
Several position papers were also adopted during the Standing Committee:
- CCBE response to the public consultation on the Skills Portability Initiative;
- CCBE response to the public consultation on the possible recast of DAC;
- CCBE response to the HCCH consultation on the draft convention on parallel proceedings and related actions.
